Use case 3

Competency Development

Score practice against the EPAS behaviors you already assess.

  • Your rubric: metrics written from the 20 EPAS behaviors
  • Visible growth: repeat sessions and track progress
  • ADEI in practice: clients across culture, identity, and faith

Use case 4

Accreditation & Assessment

Add the simulated-practice measure AS 5.0.1(a) asks for.

  • Faculty-confirmed: instructors review every score
  • Competency-level data: for outcomes and curriculum review

Reports that work as accreditation evidence

Every TMind session ends in a scored, faculty-reviewed report your program can use to show student competence.

Built to support faculty

Less time on setup and grading, more time on teaching.

Build a client in a minute

Describe the scenario in plain language, or start from a ready-made client. No scripting or actors needed.

Use your own rubric

Turn your existing rubric or the EPAS behaviors into evaluation metrics, so scores match how you already grade.

Skip the video review

Transcripts and scored reports are generated after every session, so you read and comment instead of watching hours of recordings.

Give feedback in one place

Comment inline on any report and share it with students or field instructors, with view or comment permissions.

Grade fairly

Every student meets the same client at the same difficulty, so results are comparable across a cohort.

You make the final call

AI scores are a starting point. Instructors review and confirm every result before it counts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can TMind simulations count toward field hours?

Synchronous field seminar time, including simulations, and simulated tasks within a real practice setting can count, per the 2022 EPAS Interpretation Guide (AS 3.3.3). Independent practice outside those settings is supplemental. Your field director decides how hours are counted.

Can TMind results go into our assessment plan?

They can inform a simulated-demonstration measure under AS 5.0.1(a). Because faculty or field personnel must assess student competence, instructors review and confirm the results.

Are the AI clients based on real people?

No. Every client is fictional and AI-generated, including the videos, so students can practice difficult conversations without risk to anyone.

Can we build our own clients?

Yes. Describe any client in plain language and choose the evaluation metrics. Setup takes about a minute.

Which courses is it for?

CSWE does not require a specific course list; each program maps its own curriculum to the nine competencies. Programs most often use TMind in practice courses, field seminar, and specialized-practice courses.

Does it work for both BSW and MSW?

Yes. Use it for generalist practice in BSW and MSW foundation courses, and build custom clients and metrics for each MSW area of specialized practice.

What do students need?

A web browser. Sessions run at app.tmind.ai.
